Hitler's Rise to Power

Hitler used his speech skills and ridicule to talk to the people of Germany about an empire he had dreamed of that would last 1,00 years and did not include Jews. He explained why Jews do not add anything to the community and how they also create a lot of problems for the German people. When Hitler was running for a higher position, Nazi's got votes from farmers and workers in Northern Germany which got a lot more of electoral votes for Hitler. To his suprise, Hitler lost the presidential election of 1932. This did not stop him because the next year he entered to be a chancellor for Germany. ("Hitler's Rise")

Propaganda

Hitler appointed Joseph Goebbels as the head of propaganda. As "Minister of Enlightenment", Joseph had two main things to worry about. One: to make sure that no one in Germany could read or see anything that was argumentative or destroying of the Nazi Party, and two: to make sure the Nazi opinion was put across Germany in the most persuasive manner possible ("The 1936"). Because Germany was controlled so heavily by the Nazi party, it was easy to ensure the propaganda was heard by all people using literature, art, music, radio, film, newspapers etc. The Nazi Party decided if you had the right to be a member of the Reich Chamber of commerce, a group who produced all propaganda in Germany. If everyone could only read and hear what the Nazi's told them, than most everyone throughout Germany would believe them, and the few who didn't would be easy to catch ("The 1936"). But, Hitler only acted as though he treated the Jewish population humanely. He wanted to impress the many foreigners that would come into Germany for the Games ("Nazi Olympics"). Hitler took down the signs containing anti-Jewish slogans so he could paint the misleading picture of the peaceful, non-racist Germany.
